Our Church Community Builder (CCB)/Pushpay integration is a two-way integration, meaning you can pull data from CCB into Clearstream AND send data into CCB.
You can sync CCB Groups and Saved Searches into Clearstream. Your groups will be automatically synced every night to stay up to date with CCB. This enables you to text anyone in your CCB database.
And, you can sync new Clearstream subscribers into CCB. This pushes your subscriber data into your CCB account, automatically creating new profiles.
How to run the initial sync
๐ You first need to create an API user in your CCB account. ๐
Agree to the terms and click Connect Church Community Builder.
Input API details and click Set API Credentials.
Select the CCB Groups and Saved Searches you'd like to sync into Clearstream, then click Update.
Click Run Sync Now to start the initial sync.
Your CCB Groups will sync within a few minutes and you can then view them from the Subscribers page. The name of this list will be the same as the CCB Group it's pulling from. Lists synced from CCB will be marked with the CCB icon.
These synced lists cannot be edited in Clearstream or tied to a keyword. They are connected exclusively to their corresponding Group in CCB, so if you want to make any changes, you'll need to do that from within your CCB account.
What information is pulled in from CCB?
Clearstream will pull the following data fields for each person: mobile phone (required), first name, last name, and email.
If the CCB contact does not have a phone number listed in the mobile field, they will not be synced. It's common for your synced lists to have fewer contacts in Clearstream than in CCB as there are usually at least a few contacts without a mobile number.
How often are my CCB Groups and Saved Searches synced?
CCB Groups and Saved Searches are auto-synced every 24 hours, but you can also manually sync them at any time from the Integrations page > View under Church Community Builder > Run Sync Now.
You can also re-sync a specific list at any time from the Subscribers page. Just go the list you want to sync, click the โฎ icon on the far right, then click Sync Now.
When CCB Groups and Saved Searches are re-synced, Clearstream will also update any changed data fields for each person. For example, if you change Jane Doe's email address in CCB, it will also be changed in the Clearstream list.
Opt-outs
When you send a message to a synced group, anyone who texts STOP will be opted-out from receiving texts in your Clearstream account, but they won't be removed from the group in CCB.
People who have opted out from SMS will not be opted back in at the next CCB sync.
