There are some words we don't allow you to text using Clearstream. This is because of the regulations set by the TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act) and CTIA (The Wireless Association).

Texting laws are very strict, and wireless carriers filter texts that go against their terms to protect their customers from spam. Staying compliant with these rules helps your account stay in good standing and helps prevent your texts from being blocked by wireless carriers.

The below excerpt from our Terms page outlines what you can't send through Clearstream.

You shall not send any messages through the Services that contain content or data related to the following:

  • SHAFT (sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, tobacco)

  • Loan origination and matching

  • Payday loans

  • Short-term loans

  • Auto loans

  • Mortgage loans

  • Student loans

  • Debt consolidation and reduction

  • Investment opportunities

  • Credit repair programs

  • Tax relief programs

  • Work from home programs

For more information, check out our carrier compliance page or read the official FCC guidelines. If you have any questions, please reach out to us in the chat.
