Preventing duplicates when using the Push to CCB/Pushpay step

When using the Push to Church Community Builder and Collect Name & Email steps in a workflow, it's possible that you will ask people for information you already have or create duplicate profiles in CCB.

However, you can prevent creating duplicate profiles by following the steps below.

To only send a form to people who do not have a profile in CCB, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure the Retrieve profile data from CCB checkbox is checked on the Integrations > Church Community Builder.

  2. At the bottom of your workflow, add a new Missing Name & Email branch.

  3. Within the branch, add a Push to CCB step. This will also automatically add a Collect Name & Email step.
