After you connect Clearstream to ProPresenter, you can create a marker: a short tag like "tap:giving" or "tap:connect" that you can add to your ProPresenter slides to automatically update your tap tags' action when the marked slide is displayed on screen.
You can create as many markers as you want and update them at any time. Just follow the directions below to get started!
Quick Steps: Integrations > ProPresenter > View > Create Marker
Go to Integrations in the left menu, then scroll down to ProPresenter, and click View.
*If you haven't set up the ProPresenter integration yet, click here!
On the ProPresenter page, click Create Marker.
Enter a name (e.g., welcome, baptism, events), and choose which batch's action you want the marker to be used with.
Choose your action. You can add your giving page, connect card, visitor keyword, and more!
Once you're done, click Create Marker.
How to add markers to ProPresenter slides
Once you've created your marker, you'll need to add it to your ProPresenter slide. Just copy the marker and paste it into your ProPresenter Slide Notes. Or, follow the steps below!
While viewing the ProPresenter integration in Clearstream, click the copy icon beside your marker.
In ProPresenter, click Edit.
Select the slide you want to add your marker to, then click Slide Notes in the bottom right corner of the window to make them visible. Then, paste your marker into the Slide Notes.
That's it! When you change slides on a Sunday morning, your tap tags will now automatically update to match the action you selected.
The action will stay active until you update it via another marker or a scheduled action.
Tip: If you're using your markers for announcements, we recommend having a marker on your last slide that reverts your tap tags to their default action. Or, you could schedule an action for 10:15, right after your announcements end.
How do I know my tap tag markers are working properly?
You can test that it's working properly by presenting your slide, then opening the Clearstream ProPresenter Connector. You'll see the recent action in the Activity Log.
In ProPresenter, go to the Show view.
Click on your slide to present it. It'll be highlighted in red in the top-right-hand corner.
Double-check that the Stage button is green. If it isn't, your marker won't work.
Open the Clearstream ProPresenter Connector, and look at the Activity Log. You should see your most recent action.
You can also view your tap tag batch, then scroll down to Action History in Clearstream. You should see the action your slide changed via the ProPresenter integration.
