After you connect Clearstream to ProPresenter, you're ready to create your markers. Markers are what we use to update your tap tag action when you display a specific slide on screen. Common markers include tap:giving, tap:visitors, and tap:groups.
You can create as many markers as you need, and update them at any time. Follow the Quick Steps below, or keep scrolling for detailed step-by-step instructions.
Quick Steps: Integrations > ProPresenter > View > Create Marker
Go to Integrations in the left menu, then scroll down to ProPresenter, and click View.
On the ProPresenter page, click Create Marker.
Enter a name (e.g., welcome, baptism, events), and choose which batch's action you want the marker to be used with.
Choose your action. You can add your giving page, connect card, visitor keyword, and more!
Once you're done, click Create Marker.
Now that you've created your marker, you just need to add it to your ProPresenter slide.
How to add markers to ProPresenter slides
Once you've created your marker, you'll need to add it to your ProPresenter slide. Just copy the marker and paste it into your Slide Notes.
Not sure where the Slide Notes are? Just follow the steps below!
Copy the marker in Clearstream.
Go to Edit mode in ProPresenter.
Select the slide you want to add your marker to, then click Slide Notes in the bottom right corner of the window to make them visible. Then, paste your marker into the Slide Notes.
That's it! When you change slides on a Sunday morning,* your tap tags will now automatically update to match the action you selected.
*When presenting your slides, you’ll need to make sure the Connector is open on your computer.
The action will stay active until you edit the action, or update it via another marker or a scheduled action.
Tip: We recommend having a marker on your last slide that reverts your tap tags to their default action. Or, you could schedule an action for right after your service ends.
How do I know my tap tag markers are working properly?
You can test that it's working properly by presenting your slide, then opening the Clearstream ProPresenter Connector. You'll see the recent action in the Activity Log.
In ProPresenter, go to the Show view.
Click on your slide to present it. It'll display in the top-right-hand corner.
Open the Clearstream ProPresenter Connector, and look at the Activity Log. You should see your most recent action.
You can also check your tap tag's action history in your Clearstream account. Just select the batch from your Tap Tags page and scroll down to Action History.
