Note: As of November 17, 2025, we're no longer offering the branded iOS experience for new tap tag orders. If you enabled your tap tags' iOS experience prior to this date, keep reading!

Typically, when someone interacts with your tap tag, they'll see the default notification banner at the top of their screen.

They can click the notification to open your microsite or the link associated with your tap tags.

However, you may have permanently enabled the branded iOS experience when you ordered your tap tags. If you did, iPhone users will see a custom-branded pop-up with your church's logo, name, and custom greeting when they interact with your tap tags (we call this your iPhone pop-up).

Note: If you enabled the iPhone pop-up when you ordered your tap tags, it can't be disabled.

Setting up your branded pop-up

Quick Setup: Tap Tags > Select your batch's name > iPhone Pop-Up

  1. Go to the Tap Tags page in the left menu of your account.

  2. Click your batch's name (or click the icon, then View batch).

  3. Scroll down to iPhone Pop-Up.

  4. Enter the title. This can be your church's name or a custom title, like "Welcome to [Church Name]!"

  5. Add your subtitle, like a custom greeting or message.

  6. Choose your church's cover photo. Select from one of our presets, or upload your own.

  7. That's it!

Things to Note

  • When Android users tap their phones to your NFC tag, they'll see the normal notification pop-up, regardless of whether you chose to enable or disable the iPhone pop-up. Some Android phones even open the URL automatically!

  • If you enabled the iPhone pop-up, it can't be disabled.

  • If your phone is having trouble using your tap tag, check out our troubleshooting guide here.
