A long code is a local 10-digit phone number that can be used for sending and receiving text messages. If you're ready to start texting with your Clearstream account, you'll need to choose and register a long-code number.
Quick Setup: Log In > Settings > SMS.
Steps
Choose your number. You can filter your options by area code.
Next, you'll need to register your long code. Go to your dashboard > Under Carrier Registration, click Register.
Enter your church's EIN number. Click Continue, then enter your church's website URL and your first name, last name, email, and mobile phone number.
Click Submit.
You're all set! Our team will work on getting your number registered and email you as soon as it's complete.
Common Use Cases
Live Q&A via text: Any messages sent to your long code instantly go to your inbox, so you can reply to each message. This makes long codes perfect for a live Q&A session. For example, you could invite your people to "Text your questions to 555-787-8989" and have a moderator manage your inbox in real time.
Text-based support, help, or feedback line: Encourage your church to give feedback, ask questions, or get help through your long code. All incoming messages are immediately sent to your inbox where your team can follow up. Enable inbox notifications to be alerted when you receive a new message. Notifications can be sent via email, push notifications in the mobile app, and Slack.
Prayer line: A long code can also be a great tool for collecting prayer requests. For example, you could say, "How can we pray for you? Text your prayer requests to 200-787-8989." You can then set up an auto-response to let them know you've received their request and your team will be praying.
βFallback number: If you have a short code, a long code can be a great fallback option for sending texts. We almost always recommend enabling this option. That way, if any of your subscribers have short-code messaging blocked on their wireless plan, we'll automatically reroute your texts to those people through your long code.

Each account/subaccount can have its own long code.
