This integration allows you to enable text giving on your Clearstream numbers (whether a long code or a dedicated short code).

Requirements

  1. A Clearstream account with a long code or dedicated short code.

  2. A Simple Donation account.

Instructions

  1. Log in to your Simple Donation account and do the following:

    1. Make sure your Clearstream number is configured and your funds are set up.

    2. Create an API Key to use in Clearstream. You'll need it below.

      NOTE: Currently, you must reach out to Simple Donation support ([email protected]) in order to set up a number and an API key.

  2. Log in to Clearstream and do the following:

    1. Go to Integrations > Simple Donation.

    2. Click "Connect Simple Donation".

    3. Paste in your API Key from above and click "Submit".

    4. Enable or disable text giving on each number in your account.

Things To Keep In Mind

  • When you enable text giving on a number, certain words are reserved for text giving functionality, including GIVE, FUNDS, REFUND, {dollar_amount}, and any fund keywords you have configured in Simple Donation.

  • When someone uses one of these text giving keywords, the incoming text will not show up in your Clearstream inbox, but will simply be routed to Simple Donation.
