What is a keyword?
A keyword is a word people can text to opt in to your account or join a certain list (i.e. text CONNECT to 775-347-7333). When a keyword is used, it triggers a series of workflow steps which you can read more about here.
How should I use keywords?
The most common use for keywords is to let people opt themselves in to your church's communication. They're great for connecting with new guests or providing an easy way for regular members to join specific lists. Here are a few ideas:
Text CONNECT to (775) 347-7333 if it's your first time here.
βText JOIN to (775) 347-7333 to start receiving general church announcements.
βText EASTER to (775) 347-7333 to volunteer for the Easter egg hunt.
βText REGISTER to (775) 347-7333 for a link to our upcoming conference.
There are a lot of ways to use keywords. All of our plans include unlimited keywords, so you can create as many as you'd like!

Things to Note
Each keyword automatically generates a QR code. People can scan it to prefill your keyword and phone number in their phone's native message app. Then, all they have to do is press send.
You can add an alias to your keyword to catch common typos or misspellings.
Keywords are not case sensitive, but they must be 4-50 characters and only include letters and numbers (no spaces or punctuation).
