Polls are a great way to engage your people and collect feedback. Maybe you want to survey your congregation, quiz your youth group, or encourage participation during your sermon.
With polls, your people can easily text in their responses and even see the results displayed live on-screen as they're coming in during a service.
Create Your Poll
Go to the Polls tab on the left menu and click Create Poll. You can also create a poll in the Create Message window by clicking the + icon > Poll.
Write your poll question.
βCreate each of your options/answers. Your poll can have up to 10 options, but in most cases, we recommend including 2-5. Just keep in mind that your poll's length will determine how many credits it uses.
Choose if you'd like to trigger your poll with a keyword. If enabled, people can text the keyword to receive your question and answer by replying with a number.
β
Or, if you'd rather not use a keyword, you can send out your poll in a mass text by going to the Polls tab > Select your poll > Send in Message.Click Create Poll to save your poll.
That's it! You've created your first poll. You can present your poll live during your service or send it out in a message.
Additional Options
If you want to change the message header for your poll, click change beside your church's name. This is helpful if you're using one account for multiple ministries, or if you want to send your poll out from your youth group, pastor, etc.
You can choose to share the results with those who responded. If selected, people will automatically receive a link where they can see the results after they answer your poll.
βBy default, your poll will include instructions to "Reply with a number." If you'd like to update these directions, select Custom from the dropdown or uncheck the box to remove them altogether.
If you want people to be able to choose multiple options, you can do so by checking this box then selecting the maximum number of responses you'd like each person to have.
You can choose whether or not you'd like people who respond to your poll to be opted in to your future messages. If you're using your poll for a one-time community event, you may want to leave this unchecked.
