You likely decided on your tap tags' location(s) when you ordered them, whether they're going on your seatbacks in your sanctuary, in your lobby, or in your kids' area. More placement ideas here!

Now, it's time to install them!

Installing your tap tags

  1. Figure out a place for your tap tags that's comfortable for people to tap (or scan) them β€” whether they're sitting in a seat, standing in your lobby, etc.!

If you're putting your tap tags on your sanctuary's seatbacks, we recommend centering or right-aligning them on your seatback, like the image below. πŸ‘‡

  2. Test out the placement. We strongly recommend testing out your tap tags' height for yourself before you install them. I.e., sit in the seat and try tapping the plate with your phone. This will help you know if it's at a good height for your people!

  3. Take the tap tag out of the plastic wrapper and peel off the backing, exposing the sticky back. Try not to touch the adhesive as much as possible!

  4. Stick your tap tag where you want it and press it firmly for a couple of seconds to make sure it's securely attached.

Once it's in place, it may be difficult to move it, so be sure you're happy with the placement before you stick it on!

  5. Repeat!

Things to Note

  • We recommend not sticking your tap tags to painted surfaces, like your walls. As with any good adhesive, it may damage the paint when you try to remove it. Instead of putting them on your walls, you could stick them on a countertop or a doorframe, or set them on a table.

If you need to install them on a painted surface, try using Command Strips or another easily-removable adhesive, just to be safe. πŸ‘

  • Avoid sticking your tap tag directly to a metal surface. It will interfere with the NFC chip, unless you ordered metal-safe tap tags. More on that here!
